W." Subject: Re: Ordering the Japanese version of new album I have heard before that Japanese CDs are made on something called a High Quality CD. I think it is true because Japanese CDs are more expensive than anything Stateside or European. For example, if you were to buy the European import of the Basia album in Japan, it would be cheaper than the Jpaanese-made version. Crazy! I never understood that when I lived in Japan. You can get purchase the Japanese version of CD on http://www.cdjapan.co.jp It is in English and you should have no problem navigating. Good news about the one that I ordered from HMV! It has arrived. Well, the post office tried to deliver it yesterday but I was not here. So I guess I'll have to pic it up on Monday! I have to admit that although I have both versions; I have never sat down to really compare them and I have never put a version in and suddenly remarked to my self that THIS MUST BE THE SACD VERSION! lol Maybe I should really compare them today? SHM means they are stamped out of solid gold, right? Or maybe platinum?!?!?! And what with the Borders CD? It's gonna have extra song? Now we have to get 3 versions?? That must be so all the die hards push it up the charts by buying multiple copies!! lol And what about the release tour?? Hehehe, some people are NEVER happy!!! But then, I've heard some pretty strange theories about all kinds of things over there. I'm just waiting to find out if there's any really good reason to spend the extra money on this one. It looks like the cover art is the same, which is a shame, because it doesn't look like they put much effort into it. Even the photograph of B. looks like it was taken with just on-camera flash. In fairness, though, the gorgeous paintings made for "The Sweetest Illusion" are a tough act to follow. For many years they let the best artists participate in Eurovision with very exciting songs: Edyta Gsrniak, Justyna Steczkowska, Kasia Kowalska, Anna Maria Jopek!!!, Mietek Szcze6niak, Ivan & Delfin. I've been hoping for a long time that Basia would be there too once. But not now of course, since it turned into a big circus. Not always a bad circus though. The Polish entry has gotten my vote for many years. But last years Isis Gee and this years Lidia Kopania are poor copy's of real artists. Not that we're in Holland are doing any, any better at Eurovision :-((( Marcus ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Mar 2009 18:49:51 -0700 (PDT) From: "Desianto F. W."
