At http://www.last.fm/music/Basia/+charts (hope you can see this without being logged in) there's a list of songs by Basia with NYA among them. When searching on "Basia+ New York Afternoon" I end up at this site http://beto1704.imeem.com/music/R-8U7VM6/diapason_orchestra_new_york_afternoon/ . Basia's names is gone but the song sounds like a 'stange familiar tune'. I uploaded it to YouTubes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUBO8qgNZac There was -to me- an other unfamiliar title in the list: "Basia - Borracha de amor". But I expect this to be a translation of a known song. 'Borracha de amor' is of course 'Drunk on Love'. The original forum page has more information - http://www.vagos.es/showthread.php?t=199321 The Ganglish (Google translated Spanish) below, from the forum followup, would have me believe that many, if not all the titles were the original English - given Spanish titles for the special CD collection. - ------------------------------------- Thanks for your input. I wonder if the songs are in Spanish, because it is rare (what absurd?) That if they are in English titles are in Spanish. I said, thank you. - ------------------ The songs are in English companies. The names of the subjects in Spanish as well come Because the CD had titles in Spanish. Thank you for the excellent contribution SoCu. Also, MK were a Stock Aiken Waterman group which was typically mixed by PWL, another degree of separation. Gotta love the small world! Cool link I ran across doing a quick search: http://dalstonoxfamshop.blogspot.com/2006/08/hit-factory-stock-aitken-waterman.html I really don't mean to be a killjoy-- sorry. this comes up on teh internets here and there ever since someone mislabeled it and uploaded it to the old pirate Napster. - --Leslie O. - ----- Original Message ---- From: Mike Nice To: basia@smoe.org Sent: Sunday, February 24, 2008 6:51:29 PM Subject: Re: New York Afternoon > There was -to me- an other unfamiliar title in the list: "Basia - Borracha > de amor".
