But indeed I was on her concert at the age of 14. It was in Katowice in Spodek (the concert hall that looks like UFO space ship from outside ;-)), during The Sweetest Illusion World Tour. The tickets were present from my father for my 14th b-day, cause I love Basia since I was 11, I guess - don't even remember well. I guess 1994 was the same year when first Basiaweb (basia.techwood.org) was created, am I correct Leslie? :-) Have to tell I was really lurking recently but guess I will bi participating a bit more from now on. My biggest musical dream is that they two sing together. I think they would find common language. It is Spanish singer Ana Belen. Great voice, beautiful lyrics - written for her by many famous Spanish singers songwriters (cantautores in Spanish), among them by her husband Victor Manuel - also great voice. I do have an extra special respect for people who write their own songs - like Basia. Interesting thing about Ana - she has sung for example Spanish cover of Billy Joel's Piano Man (it is El hombre del Piano in Spanish) :-) I recommend Basia to all Ana fans, so guess I can do the same other way round :-) I guess many of you could tell some other singers who could be found in the "Really Talented" category but over all it is truth that there are very few of them.
