Somehow some of my smoe.org mail had been wandering into bulk... but as soon as I saw Desianto's email, I realized what occurred. Far too young a life lost. Leslie, do you and your family wish donations to the American Cancer Society? Or how can we send anything to y'all as the obituary mentioned it, but without any guidance. I never thought that it would happen so soon since the last time we all knew from Leslie, how enthusiastic she was about the prosthetics hands, showing us how great is her living/surviving spirit.... It is like a thunder in a sun-shiny day... She was fighting hard till the end and never gave up... the great example for us, esp. me, not to give up easily.... I am glad to know such a wonderful person though I never met her personally, only from the lines of the e-mails.... ---- Czesc, Desianto F. I have a whole lot of emails to write back and believe me I'll write all you guys back when this is all over. I'm so touched and more than a little choked up at the outpouring for my family and me. I've got love for you guys, believe me! To be honest in answer to Bev's questions The note on the obit was really at Mom's insistance for her friends and family locally- long story on that but I'd rather see donations to the ACS or your country's cancer fighting organization. Osteosarcoma is such a rare low profile cancer and it needs more money thrown at it so it can be better understood-- I think a lot of our problems came from so little understanding of this disease in adults. We had one of five specialists in the country on the case but the technology just isn't there to catch it early in a lot of cases. I'm whipped so I've got to cash in but thank you all so much for the notes. So much. - --Leslie O. _____________________________________________________________________________ _______ Any questions?
