["Desianto F. W." Subject: Off topic: The months of silence....... Hello all, It's great to find out that everybody is still here. Maybe some of you wondered why I didn't write to the list for months. It's not because I have lost my passion of music esp. Basia's music. It's just my job that makes me unable to write very often, like I used to do. As I said before, I now work as a farmer. Besides working on fruits and vegetables, my partner (yes, that Julia Roberts look alike girl) and I also make a new field in cultivating mushroom. For those living in the highland, cultivating mushroom is an easy business; plant it and let it grow by itself. But since we both live near the sea, it becomes a seriuos work just to keep the humidity and temperature at the desirable amount. Since growing fruits and vegetables can be delegated to other people, we both decided to focus on our new business. At first, I thought that I could still have some spare time. However, with the coming of dry season, it is obvious that we have to keep our eyes at least 10 hours per day on the hygrometer and thermometer, just in case we need to take necessary actions. For short, we spend a lot of energy in doing our new business. Finally, we have enjoyed our hard work. When the time has come to harvest our mushroom, we found that the amount is at least twice of what other mushroom farmers usually get at the same size of mushroom hut. Firstly, we thought that it's just our luck because for the first weeks there were some heavy rain that helped us much. But after we counted our second harvest during the dry season, we found that the amount is almost the same (very close!) as before. Frankly, it's hard to hide our happiness! We finally proved that farming combined with science and a lot of hard work plus intensive praying = excellent results! It's not a new thing for some of you in modern countries, but FYI, most (not all) Indonesian farmers only know that farming is equal to a lot of hard work, a little bit praying, and no science at all! Right now, we're busy with the marketing things. Hopefully, everything will go well. We have had some loyal customers of our products and we're sure that sooner or later, the number will grow though maybe it's a slowly but sure process. We don't want to rush everything. Let them enjoy the finest quality and the promotion will go easier. Satisfaction is the most effective advertisement, right? But of course we won't forget our successful working patterns; work hard, intensive praying, and science (knowledge). OK, that's all from me. Sorry for being so off topic. Let's hope that everything goes well with Basia and her friends so the new album will be finished perfectly. Czesc, Desianto F. W. Tired of spam? Yahoo!
