Leslie: Has Morph The Cat begun to grow on you like it has me? Reading the liner notes helps this feeble brain comprehend what Fagen is singing about and the song that is the pseudo tribute to Ray Charles is awesome. I guess I would've liked one more song for my $13 instead of a reprise of Morph, but we waited 13 years for this, I'll take it. A couple of the rhythm tracks sound a lot like tracks from Kamakyriad, but it's his artistic license. I'm not going to revoke it. Actually today I watched the supremo Steely Dan DVD, which is the 'Classic Albums' series installment on Aja. They sit at the console and break down most of the tracks, isolating each instrument and giving loads of insight on their insane production technique. So freaking cool I don't even deserve it.
