Plus they have these luxury packages that run up to $450, for a "meet & greet" session with the bands. Pretty nervy for a couple of reconstituted bands that haven't had any significant music released in 20+ years. And yes, much as I like Todd, that goes for him too. Steve R. This is great. The Cars are back together as "The New Cars" and are on tour and are fronted by...........................Todd Rundgren. Kasim Sulton of Utopia plays bass, Prairie Prince of the Tubes on drums. Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes, original members fill out the line up. Consider going, unless your to old. ha ha ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2006 11:45:04 EST From: ZZsaZZsa@aol.com Subject: Re: UYCBTM (on AI); others In a message dated 3/16/2006 5:21:20 PM Central Standard Time, marzenie_99@yahoo.com writes: I guess. It's weird, still figuring it out. But I hear that audition phase is over and now it's the talent contest really, which is better. I agree with you. As a someone who has worked with people with disabilities for many years, I can tell that some of the people they show in the beginning of the season are disabled and it *IS* sad and wrong to make fun of them and exploit them as the show clearly does. Once we get into the "top twelve" section of the show, however, they don't have any more of that I and I do agree that it is enjoyable to watch. I always had a problem with David Letterman and his treatment of Larry Bud Mellman ( and many others innocent people.) I like to think that for many of the people who try out for Idol, when they see themselves on TV that it helps them in the future to change. Some can not change I suppose... so I see your concern. Idol should stop following a person who is upset and filming for the sake of catching a person in a weak state. I just love how "different" people on the same planet can be.
