Subject: Informal BasiaWeb market research Dirk's talk about revamping mattbianco.com got me thinking about changes I'm making to BasiaWeb. As you probably know, for the past six months I've been working, slowly, on a redesign and all-around better site, using better code and better looking graphics, but most importantly having the right info in the right places for any Basia fan-- be they new or a diehard member of the tribe-- to get to and enjoy. A major question I've had for a few months is this: there were a fan forum/discussion board, would you be interested in using it? It would be similar to the Swing Out Sister, Incognito, Level 42 forums or any such discussion board you have probably seen a million times. I personally think it would be awesome, but I have to do my resesarch to see if it's feasable and affordable, and most importantly discuss it with our gracious host. I want to make sure I'm not the only one who would want it. ;-) Sometimes that happens! While there's no way any website can be all things to all people, I'm also curious to hear what people are expecting to see on BasiaWeb that isn't there. Whether you post to a group or prefer to send it to me privately, I really want to know what the fans think. I can't guarantee that I'll be doing everything requested, but I want to make BasiaWeb everything it can be, which is the main site for anyone that wants to know more about Basia and Danny and their music. And while BasiaWeb isn't official, it's the main point of entry on any search engine and kind of stands in, so I want it to be as slick and comprehensive as any official site would be while of course keeping its heart and humor and that fan community goodness. ;-P I hesitate to give a date when the new site will be done-- like a good Basia album, it takes time, and life gets in the way sometimes. But I want it to be up yesterday, so know that I'm motivated. ^_^ - -- Leslie O. www.basiaweb.com / www.gruentransfer.com "The truth hurts... luckily for America, I'm a masochist." --Stephen Colbert Tired of spam?
