Well I stand corrected! One cannot argue with statistics like that. What a location to see Basia, Indonesia. Beautiful! Dave. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Desianto F. W." Subject: Re: Will Basia come to Indonesia? Since Basia, Danny, Peter White, and their friends have not said YES to the festival committee, their coming is still unsure. I hope I can find the contact address of the committee later so I can write an e-mail to them, just to find out the newest update. Frankly, I myself was surprised knowing that the committee invited Basia to the festival, the thing that they should do many years earlier. It is possible that the popularity of Matts Mood finally changed their mind. ---- Desianto F. W. - --- owner-basia@smoe.org wrote: > > Oh... Desianto.... Subject: Will Basia come to Indonesia? - Latest news After checking at www.javajazzfestival.com/, I found that though the confirmation is still in pending status, Basia is scheduled on Friday, March 3, 2006 at Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center. It means that, she will perform on Day 1, and maybe will use the other two days (or more) to see other performers, going somewhere, or doing whatever she likes.... And guess what? Basiaweb address is written there as a reference! OK, I will keep my eyes open for every update.... ---- Desianto F. W. Tired of spam? Yahoo! Subject: News: The word on Indonesia, album progress, etc Danny sent word that there won't be any shows, unfortunately-- they tried to get a few far east dates going including the Indonesia thing but it didn't work out in the end. Silver lining: this means the progress on the new album will continue on uninterrupted, and it's really taking shape! They have 10 tracks going in various stages now, and Danny and drummer Marc Parnell (who was on the Matt Bianco tour) are going to record some stuff this weekend. Woot! Also, in Japan only, there will be a Nissan commercial with Basia singing "Smooth Operator." (yes really) Danny's instrumentation is not part of it, and it will not be commercially available. So, that's the story. :-) Happy holidays everyone! - -- Leslie O.
