["Desianto F. W." ] RE: Will Basia come to Indonesia? [Bill Roberts ] Re: Will Basia come to Indonesia? ["David Higginson" Subject: Will Basia come to Indonesia? Today, when I was reading the newspaper, an article attracted me. The title is: Java Jazz Festival 2006. I quickly skimmed the lines just to find out who will perform in the festival. There are some familiar names such as, Dave Koz, Lee Ritenour, Kool & The Gang, and Patti Austin. But the one name among many that really shocked me and made me almost jumped instantly is BASIA! I could not believe my own eyes! Wow! Though it is written that the festival committee still does not get the solid confirmation from her (and Danny and maybe also Peter White), the news really puts a bright light in my heart. I never thought, even once, that she would come to Indonesia! But it is still not 100% sure. So if she chooses not to come because she has other priorities, it is all right. I will not mind because the most important thing for me is that, she is fine, healthy, and happy so she will be able to see all of you, grab your hands, and have warm conversations with you all in the future. ---- Czesc, Desianto F. There will be 1,100 Indonesian and international singers/musicians and lets hope that among them will be Basia and friends. Therefore, there will be many stages in one area so everybody can see his/her own favorite(s) in 3-full-day show. Well, lets hope that Basia, Danny, Peter White, and their friends say; -- OK, we will come! -- so some, even all of you will come, enjoying the show and Indonesia. ---- Desianto F. Keep us informed and I may see some of you there! Jimbo > > "Desianto F. W." wrote: Today, when I was reading the newspaper, an article attracted me. The > title is: Java Jazz Festival 2006. Subject: Re: Will Basia come to Indonesia? Well, if you look at world map on the page of Indonesia, Krakatoa is located about 30 miles to the West from the nearest edge of West Java. So Java is East of Krakatoa and between them is Sunda Strait. On the other hand, Bali is located to the East of Java, about 3 miles from the edge of East Java. Between them is Bali Strait. So, Java is between Krakatoa and Bali. The straight distance from Krakatoa to Bali is about 630 miles; and I live somewhere in the middle of it...... :-) ---- Desianto F.
