Subject: those Japan dates All you Basia fans don't be booking any flights to Japan-- it's the other Matt Bianco, the one with Mark Fisher and Mark Reilly. Basia and Danny are still doing that new album thing in London. ;-) This should make many on the MB list very happy. :-P - -- Leslie O. www.basiaweb.com / gruentransfer.com My life in the D is a tragic comedy A poetic verse It's voodoo some say-- black magic ettouffe A dead man's curse --Brendan Benson, "Life in the D" __________________________________ Yahoo! I'm still in the wading process and have only gotten through the first half of the first disc. Right now, I'm needing upbeat, traditionally-structured music, and so far it's pretty dreamlike and wandering. In fact I had to take it out of the car's CD player because it was making me sleepy! I'm not meaning this necessarily as a criticism. KB may borrow some of the structure of pop for her music she makes it into a different animal-- more focus on a story and a mood than the usual pop music. This can be an asset or detriment too, depending on one's point of view. I'm sure if I'm doing something else (totally ideal album to have in the background while painting or drawing!) I'll be right with it. As an aside-- I think the packaging and design is lovely, and fits the music very well. - -- Leslie O. www.basiaweb.com / gruentransfer.com My life in the D is a tragic comedy A poetic verse It's voodoo some say-- black magic ettouffe A dead man's curse --Brendan Benson, "Life in the D" __________________________________ Yahoo! Subject: Re: Liner note trainspotters unite (peripherally Basia related) After glancing at the TSI booklet, I found that the percussionist in An Olive Tree is Karl Vanden Bossche. However, Bosco De Oliveira did appear in Third Time Lucky and Perfect Mother. It is possible (and I am 100% sure) that it is the same man in KB album. After all, how many Bosco De Oliveiras in this world who are percussionists? Though I have ever seen Kevin Robinson the marine biologist from California in Discovery Channel... :-) ---- Czesc, Desianto F. Many say that they love most or all of it after a couple of plays but some just hate it and one guy claimed to have thrown it on the fire (a troll if ever I heard one!). It entered the UK album charts at #2 despite many other high profile releases at this pre-Xmas time, so people here (UK)seem to have stuck by her after 12 years :) >-- Original Message -- >Date: Wed, 16 Nov 2005 16:13:24 -0800 (PST) >From: "Leslie O." >Subject: Re: Liner note trainspotters unite (fully Kate Bush related) >To: basia@smoe.org >Reply-To: basia@smoe.org > > > >> How is the KB album?
