I've been to both London and Paris 3 times and I loved London and can't think of anything all that good to say about Paris. Maybe it was because I'd been in Germany for awhile when I first went to London and it was so nice to be able to read the signs instead of trying to sound them out, I could read the menus and labels and watch TV. Some guy asked me for the time and I was able to understand him and give him an answer back. So maybe just a little taste of "home" was what gave me that first good impression about it. I've been to 16 countries and London is one of my favorite places. The best thing about Paris is that it's in the same country as Mont St Michel... which is another of my all time favorite places. If you ever get the chance to go, make sure you tour the Abbey at night... it's way awesome. Jacki ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V10 #171 ****************************
