I'm sure that everybody here is glad to hear from you after such a long time. - --- Krysia Szurek wrote: [deleted] > HERE IS THE STORY :) > > My friend Iwona shares the room with a girl named Halina (both are > Polish, there were tousands of Poles in London, and even more of > them arrived after accession of Poland to European Union, so they > say that London is second city with the biggest population of Poles, > just after Warsaw). ********************* Halina? Reminds me to the name "Halina Tymusz", the artist who once painted the pictures in the booklet of Basia's The Sweetest Illusion album. ********************* > I was not too happy in London but many people really enjoy it and > they claim that for sure they have far higher possibility of > realizing their dreams there, than they would ever have in Poland. > > So it is in case of Halina. Recently, I myself laugh quite a lot since I have really funny friends from Katana (a model of Suzuki 4WD and 2WD car) Owners Club mailing list who always make jokes everyday. Actually they have made jokes a long time ago but they increase the number qite a lot recently. Sadly, it's Indonesian practical jokes so it would be hard for me to translate them into English without losing the main idea...... Another thing that makes me laugh a lot is the two series of "The Gods Must Be Crazy" movie. Yes, make me laugh a lot, but they also make me think about people. Sometimes, I think who is the wiser one, between Xixo - starred by Nixau - and the modern people he met when they have to deal with everyday life, esp. when these two different backgrounds having problems in understanding. ******************** > Maybe I will have some more thoughts when I dig through the rest of > mails. Of course I myself will dig into my memories and brain just to write something here. Maybe I'll write about the Cheng Ho Festival that was held recently in Semarang; of course it would be an off-topic topic, but considering the quiet days here, I hope it would contribute something.
