Subject: Something to talk about with apologies to Badly Drawn Boy (as that is one of the few songs of his I *like*...) You know the 'street version' of Baby You're Mine. And you know the regular octane version. I've always thought the street version had a "new" vocal. But it may be simply the acoustic backdrop making it *seem* different, much the way the color of a photo changes against a red versus green background. (sorry, I can only use metaphors I understand...) This has been a question mark in my mind for years. Thoughts, opinions? See what you all make me do when you don't have anything to say for a week?! Oh yes, I can come up with some dorkitude! - -- Leslie O. "It's not that it goes over people's heads, it's just that they f------ ducked. --Banksy's "Existencilism" Tired of spam? Yahoo! It looks like some nice high rise restaurant in Manhattan. - she mentions that they used to do a cover of "Til You Come Back To Me", and had such strong reaction at concerts that they decided to record it, but the version they recorded for LWNY, according to Basia, ended up being a totally different arrangement than the live version they were doing. Has anyone heard the live arrangement? I always wondered why they would take something everyone was begging for, change it, and record the changed version. Inquiring minds would like to know! - - Steve ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Jul 2005 19:15:03 -0500 From: Max Wellhouse Subject: Re: Something to talk about Dorkitude; I like that word!!!
