The message reads: "Message from Sasha - May 30th 2005 There has been an overwhelming amount of emails, messages, and posts all over the internet and to the site in regards to the shocking season finale of NCIS. Sasha wanted her fans to know how much she appreciates there support for her and the character Kate: "I am happy that people have responded to Kate and like her as much as I do. I am not allowed to comment on the season finale of NCIS at this time but will do so as soon as I can. Thank you all for watching and supporting me always. Lots of Love, Sasha" Even my friend at JAG/NCIS is being tight lipped. My guess is they pulled a Bobby Ewing on us. I always get annoyed when someone commits to star in a TV show, then either: a) Quits because they think they are a star, too big for TV (David Caruso, George Clooney) b) Starts publicly whining because they can't get out of the TV show that made them a star (Robin Williams, Pierce Brosnan) c) Gets pregnant and times it perfectly so they have to either miss half the season or spend the season wearing ridiculously baggy clothing that disguises nothing (Leah Remini, Debra Messing) d) Realizes doing a weekly show is hard work and quits (Alexander, that woman from The Simpsons who voiced Maude Flanders) And I blame the producers of the show for using her departure for a big season finale plot twist. Not that it was very shocking, when they put on ads for a month saying: ONE OF THESE AGENTS WILL NOT SURVIVE!! What a cheap way to promote your show. Why couldn't they just have had her character resign, say she was going back to the Secret Service, or something like that. Steve R. But George Clooney was on the money when he left. He's been in some big movies; "Batman", "Perfect Storm", "Oceans 11/12", "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?" just to name a few. Caruso was in what, one or two flops. So leaving TV for film can work, you just have to know it will. A lot of lesser stars will do both, at least until they've established themselves as a film star or figured out they're not going anywhere outside of TV. > Not that it was very shocking, when they put on > ads for a month saying: ONE OF THESE AGENTS WILL NOT SURVIVE!! Because the only way to get the ratings is to use the "Someone will die!" card. Most people don't pay enough attention to anything to know she left. So they can use this to get a boost and keep the show on the air that much longer. It's all about the ratings. Ratings = $$$/job security for one more year. Barry "Do not go where the path may lead.
