Hello all, The subject pretty much says it all. Does anyone have any recodings from the recent dates? We were at the Ft. Worth show and would love anything to help remember this great show. If you do have anything to share feel free to contact me on or off list. Please share if you can. Ill be happy to pay any expenses or trade if I have anything you'd like in return. Thanks a bunch, here's hoping for more new material sooner than later, Mike ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Jun 2005 05:34:52 -0500 From: Max Wellhouse Subject: Re: Any live audio from US tour? I've got about 90 seconds of "Olive Tree" from the Minneapolis concert, but I wouldn't bank on the quality of it. It came of my Olympus digital camera's "movie" mode. The video isn't too hot either. In hindsight, I don't think anyone at that concert would've been too uptight about someone shooting video that gig. Makes you wonder if the band had someone shoot one of the performances. I didn't see anything set up professionally. What a shame if nothing was recorded. DM&FS At 03:06 AM 6/2/2005, mikep3099@aol.com wrote: >Hello all, > > The subject pretty much says it all. YES I have AUDIO and VIDEO from San Antonio! I sent Leslie about 30-45 seconds from a couple of songs in MP3 video format, the weekend after the concert in San Antonio -- not perfect stuff but still nice. Haven't seen them up on basiaweb.com though, if I get time I will upload them to a webpage of my own. I also did capture about 30-40 MINUTES of audio from the "second half" on with my little handy Samsung MP3 player/recorder I was able to place on a railing by my box seat. Again, time issues are keeping me from getting to them. But I want to break them down by song and upload them. I've been still dealing with post-mother's death stuff here, everyday something to deal with in regards to creditors, final estate caca, getting her house ready for sale, and the like; not to mention my own house has home improvements I've been trying to complete since the weekend she first was diagnosed Dec. 24, 2004. I really want to focus on the FUN Basia stuff and will try to sit down this weekend and tackle the stuff. If y'all can be patient I have some nice nice stuff.... I really will try and work on it this weekend. - -- Beverly Okin-Larkin mikep3099@aol.com wrote: >Hello all, > > The subject pretty much says it all. Hi all, It seems that the list is getting quieter again. Maybe some of us are still busy enough or maybe still mesmerized by the tour that they have attended. BTW, do Matt Bianco and Basia have any plan to make a tour in Europe? If yes, when? As far as I know, they're ready with the new materials. But the question is that, will it be a new Basia solo album or a new Matt Bianco album? We can only guess right now but at least we wouldn't wait for so long again - I hope.... :-) Have a nice day, Desianto F. Haven't seen them up on > basiaweb.com though, if I > get time I will upload them to a webpage of my own. I 've been sent a lot of fan recorded stuff. Most is recorded on peoples cell phones and (still) digital cameras so it's not easy to watch, though better than nothing. I don't know how the group feels about this sort of thing and I didn't want to get anyone into trouble ;-P It's been something I've been meaning to investigate further, I know nothing about that sort of thing. So it's not unwillingness on my part, just ignorance. I'm way behind on BasiaWeb-- just finished my LAST (!!) hellacious magazine deadline so life has been on a holding pattern while I work work work (NOT the way to live, BTW!) Now that I'm back to being a mere serf I'll have lots more free time, which is great because I have a LOT of plans for BasiaWeb, among them a redesign and several new sections. My Blue Rondo collection alone seems to warrant its own site! Let's do this: those who have sent me a clip, holler my way about if you want it put on the site. Meanwhile, I'll do some poking around to make sure it's kosher. And if you plan on starting your own site instead-- send me your link! More fansites, the better. Finally in regards to fan recordings: someone may want to consider organizing a system of trading. Anecdotal evidence shows me there would be interest. Not Phish-level interest, but still. Not that the Heat haven't been trying their best-- nice to have a real opponent this time! Pistons of course will repeat! ;-) Faithful fan of many things, Leslie O. Tired of spam? Yahoo! I saw last week's episode on Sunday (magic of the Internet!) and he says that to a kid, in passing (they were in the 1940s) Never understood Doctor Who-- Matt always was a fan but I could never get interested, except for the one where Ace was his companion ('80s?) But this one, man, I love it. - --Leslie O. __________________________________ Discover Yahoo! Find restaurants, movies, travel and more fun for the weekend.
