I'm in the Metroplex, and I would have loved to come, but unfortunately the concert was on Wednesday, and I had church. I could have missed, but I didn't want to miss church. Sounds like it was great. I'm sorry it didn't sell out. How much were the tickets? Do you have an idea of how many people were there? The first time is when I was 5, when Merapi Volcano erupted. It gave us some earthquakes and a lot of ashes. As a little child, I considered that as "snow". The second time is when I was 14, when Kelud volcano erupted. The "boom" sound was heard clearly hundred miles away. And of course, we got the "grey snow" again. I also have experienced a hailstone. At that time, a lot of "ping-pong ball sized ice blocks" fell onto our roof, which caused a terrible noise. Quite strange, considering the tropical climate..... BTW, if you're curious enough about the biggest volcanic eruption in Indonesia, you can watch the video from Discovery Channel entitled "Ultimate Blast - Eruption at Krakatau". Czesc, Desianto F. W. Our tickets were $45 for the high-altitude seats. I think lower balcony was $55 and orchestra $75. It was difficult to resist the temptation to go for the better seats, but it worked out in our favor. ;-) I couldn't really guess how many people were there. The orchestra section was almost full, but I couldn't really see the balconies from where we were. I know there were people up there, but I couldn't say how many. According to the Startlegram review, though, Bass Hall only accommodates 2000. I really prefer smaller venues to big auditoriums like the Coca-cola Starplex, where Basia performed the last time, but I know they're not as good for the artists' bottom lines.
