I pretty much drink only microbrews, so I am always looking. S.A. Winter Ale is still on the shelves, so maybe the Black will be the seasonal replacement for Spring. I like most Sam Adams brews, but they have one called Cranberry Lambic which is the most horrid tasting stuff I have ever had. Two great N.E. micros are Long Trail from VT, and Nutfield from Derry, NH. Anything from these two are excellent. I will have to search for some "Black" today. Thanks. The late summer sun was still up and the Atlanta April night was really pleasant. That, combined with the early stage of the tour and the fact that I think a lot of Basia fans don't really know she's "back", all added up to a rather rare opportunity, I believe. Danny and Mark were especially approachable. For Basia, well, there were all of a dozen people around her, so anyone with a few minutes patience would soon find themselves being hugged and kissed by her as you greeted her. One thing that struck me was how much care Danny takes with people's names. I asked him to sign my ticket (http://www.corbinian.com/images/Basia_Ticket.jpg), which he did, and as he handed it back, he asked me what my name was, I told him, and we chatted for a few minutes. As we were parting, he looked at me square on and said "nice to meet you, Steve". I dunno, maybe 30 minutes doing autographs and pictures with them. But it was so amazing to finally meet some of the people from this list, that I think we were all having as much fun meeting each other as we were seeing Basia. I suspected that might be the case for everyone, and then I realized this fact must have been true, because ... ... it suddenly hit me as I was standing there chatting with Thelma and Lonnie and Mike, all of whom I had just met ... Basia had jumped in her SUV and taken off with the rest of the band probably 30 minutes earlier, and we were still standing out on the parking lot chatting. Now THAT is the sign of a fun group. ;) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Apr 2005 12:10:00 -0400 From: "Steve O'Hearn" Subject: RE: Atlanta show pictures Bill - She did announce that the two on the outside were twins, yes, and that the one in the middle was her sister. - - Steve > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-basia@smoe.org [mailto:owner-basia@smoe.org]On Behalf Of > bcouil@comcast.net > Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 5:18 AM > To: basia@smoe.org > Subject: Re: Atlanta show pictures > > > > Nice pictures, Joe!
