Hi, Gang: Today I finally ordered both of the Basia sheet music books, covering 3 albums. It'll be about $35, and I should have them next week. This time I'm NOT giving them away! I ordered it from a company called RBC Music in San Antonio, but if you go to HalLeonard.com, you can order it from a number of online music stores. Now to try and sing this in front of other people. I had a fabulous time! The seats were perfect. I've never had better seats at any other concert--I was second row. Seeing the artists just a few feet in front of you is such a thrill. It was also nice meeting Richard from Cleveland again! I really enjoyed O'2L. I will definitely buy one of their CDs soon. I thought the musicians were all very talented and had great energy that appealed to non-fans, also. And of course I loved all of Basia's/Matt Bianco's set. Basia is still in top condition as a vocalist, as was Mark and Danny as a keyboardist. The most touching part of the show for me was as "j w" mentioned when Basia got embarrassed after we gave her a standing ovation after "Time & Tide." I guess she doesn't totally realize the effect her music has on her fans. If any song deserves a standing ovation, it is that song. I dare say it is her signature song: does anyone have a differing opinion? That song will always have a special place in my heart because it was the song that got me hooked. It was great to see Mark Reilly perform. I thought he was very energetic and was exciting to see perform (I don't quite agree with "j w's" impression of him, but we are all entitled to our own opinions). Though he may not be the best vocalist, he is a talented performer I think that he puts his all into his craft. I only wish that there were more Basia solo songs and more Matt Bianco songs from the non-Basia era. My favorites of that era are "Our Love" and "Lost In You," and I would've loved to see them live. And I never realized that Danny had such a good sense of humor with the interactions he had with the other performers on stage. I couldn't figure out what he was doing with the laptop at the beginning of each of the songs, though. Anyone have an idea? I hope they are going to add more shows!
