I have never followed a whole tour like this before, so maybe it is normal, but *IS* it? Anyone? What is up with cancellations and venue changes?? I went to check Ticketmaster and it was showing that the show was cancelled. Then I went to their site and they had it rerouted to the Park West. There was a word document sort of press release thingy and everything. > Is it just me or are there a lot of kooky things > going on for this tour? I > have never followed a whole tour like this before, > so maybe it is normal, but > *IS* it? Anyone? What is up with cancellations > and venue changes?? I don't know if this is normal either but I am worried. For the Cupertino show, you can still get seats in row N. They said on the Hey Now interview that they have been having promoter problems. Both Danny and Basia sounded very irritated by it and it came up more than once in the show. Combining that with the total lack of publicity in a lot of locations and the fact that some of the tickets are way expensive... I am worried. I went to a few different shows and tested out what was on sale. Some places are doing great. Some are not. At least they are still having the shows. I think what maybe they should have done all along is done Park West-sized venues and jazz clubs like Yoshi's to begin with. Some of these places aren't small. PRAYING this tour goes well.. so want more music in the future... - -- Leslie O. "People around the world want the same thing- wanting to love and be loved. Hi Chris. It's 01.15am for me now and I have just walked in and I am going to bed soon! I echo Chris's sentiments here. This was a fabulous gig in every way and a very personal one for me. Being a Basia fan since MB and never having seen her live before tonight, it was the perfect gig! Then to top everything, if it could not get any better, thanks to the very lovely Chris I got to meet and greet Basia, Mark and Danny and get several and I mean several kisses from Basia!!!!!!!! She was an absolutely delightful person to talk to. I have a photo of myself with Basia that I will now treasure. Such a great night. My very personal favourites were Cruising for Bruising, Promises and Time and Tide. It was also good to hear songs from Matt's Mood. It was so nice to meet so many people from this list and a few others. The warmth of the audience was something to behold too! For Leslie, Basia and Mark announced the band members but I am sorry to say that the names have passed me by, BUT and this is a big BUT, Basia introduced her sister to us all as she was one of the backing singers! I have to admit I did recognise her from photos etc. Maybe she will be on the Japan and US tours? I'm off to bed now. I have photos to download from my camera so I will try to upload a few tomorrow. Cheers to you all. Look forward to the gigs to come.
