I have 2 extra tickets for Thursday nights MB gig at the shepherds bush empire. If anyone - or anyone you know - is requiring last minute tickets, perhaps you'd consider buying them from me, instead of ticketmaster etc. I am going to the gig myself, so I can meet you out front (or in o'neills) to hand the tickets over ... They're downstairs, unreserved standing ... All I want is what I paid - 25.75 each (22.50 tkt + 3.25 surcharges). I have portable email, so feel free to email right up to the last minute if you are interested. See some of you there - this time tomorrow - yippee :-) Chris ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity whom they are addressed. However. . .what nobody knew, even me, is that the local smooth jazz station was "sponsoring" this concert, and because I"m a "Wave Loyal Listener" and registered with their website, I got an email today telling me that I could get "pre-sale" tickets by following the link to CC.com. I got mine right in front, third row back, seat 9. WOW. I can't believe it, I'm so HAPPY!!! Later. Amy ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Mar 2005 13:19:51 -0600 From: "Barry" Subject: OT: American Idol screw-up I just thought this was pretty funny to me, but I'm sure it's not for a lot of other people If you've never watched the show, at the end of the performances they do a recap of the singers and show their phone numbers again. Last night they screwed up some of the phone numbers when they did the recap. They'll show the number 2 ways; 1-866-IDOLS-10, then all numbers below it 1-866-436-5710. On some of the people last night they'd have one number on top and another number below it (like IDOLS-10, 436-5703). So tonight they're have a "do-over" show. They'll show parts of last nights show with some live stuff, then people will vote tonight. Last night's votes won't count at all. I'm betting someone lost their job over this one. Talk about a major screw-up. It's going to affect the Fox schedule (which isn't really saying anything), and they're having to do another show. Some people would probably say it was intentional to get them on the air another night, but I doubt it. In fact I'm wondering if as many people will watch (and vote) this week because of it. I know I don't care about watching it (but I only watch because my wife does anyway). I've already seen the performances, they aren't singing anything new or different tonight. So big deal. I just think it's funny that they screwed up and have to do this. This is the biggest show Fox has ever had, or ever will have. You can read about it on their website http://www.idolonfox.com Barry "Do not go where the path may lead. I'd just finished my AA (the BA was 2 years off) and I sat in pretty much the same place I'm sitting now, Orchestra B8. Mind you, it was in the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. . .but lucky me, I got great seats again. This time I'm not taking a mooching boyfriend either, I'm going by myself. Later!
