NOW you're speaking my language! I must say I'm more of a stout drinker, but I am open to lighter brews too. I was introduced to black and tan years ago. Most places around here (the ones I go to anyway) know what it is, but some of them look at me like I'm speaking Hebrew when I ask for it. In that case I just go for the best stout they have. You'd drive in one door, pop open your trunk, and the clerk would fill it with your order of beer by the case, you'd pay and drive out through the other door. If they put me in jail whose gonna get the concert dates together!? YOU NEED ME! ;-P LOL BTW: I went to a game right after that and it was a family crowd. (no, I am not afraid of the Palace after The Incident-- it's like a home away from home) When it comes to Detroit sports fans, it is truly a case of one (or a handful of) bad apples making a bad name. Because it's Detroit, the media takes it and runs. =) Now in reference to a *Basia* Detroit crowd, and you see me allude to this on BasiaWeb, the D has an amazing awesome music crowd for jazz/jazz-derived shows. It was there after all that caught onto Incognito first in the US! They let you know that they love you when you do well on stage. And the best thing is that Basia will get the city crowd instead of the boring, yucky suburban crowd real music fans! - --Leslie Tired of spam? Yahoo! At the next Eagles game after the Detroit incident, a fan was pictured holding a sign that said: "We're no longer the worst. Thanks, Detroit". Yeah, I'd say both could apply. There have been times that I pulled some pretty amazing stunts after drinking stout. ;) As far as stunts while drinking, I'm good but I'm not that good. Giant Step has a handful of Matt Bianco dates on their site that I can't really confirm via web (calling all over the country is not really an option cause, you know, I'm at work). But at the same time but they are in important cities that people have been waiting for. So I had to call it. I put them up on BasiaWeb with disclaimers a-go-go. the dates are in New York, Texas (two of them), and in LA. If any of you guys in those areas get word that they are actual shows, please lemme know! :-D - --Leslie Tired of spam? Yahoo! Sorry for the paraphrasing. Maybe the sentence was confusing. I always kind of felt that Matt Bianco was as well known in Japan as Basia. Or as popular. At least that was my impression while I lived there. I can remember one time when in Fall of '95 that Matt Bianco's "Lost In You," from the CD "Gran Via," had a lot of rotation on channels that played a lot of non-Japanese music, as "Copernicus" from "Basia On Broadway" was also getting a lot of play. Anyway, it's a small detail that doesn't really need to be argued. It was identical to the US issue except instead of Diendsi Budsi the silly Polish number was 'Water's of March', which was the first time I had ever heard it, and obviously more apropo to the Brasilian market. Man I wish I could think of her name, she had some good input here, but all those files are gone. She regretted Basia never toured South America, where she thought Basia had a fan base. Phil H.
