So where is the Pabst theatre, Shlitzville, or the Old Style Mall, Blatz Blvd? RRRRRrrrrrrr, this sort nickle and dime tour date release is thing is odd. If they would like to play at my house I'll have a huge BBQ for all you that could make, but no Pabst blue ribbon, we can do better. tom Leslie said; > Wed April 6th at 8 PM! Chicago Theater! I can't believe this. That's my birthday, and I'll be in Chicago THE WEEK BEFORE. Noooo! Why. :( Now there is a show at the Pabst Theatre, April 7. Noted on the site. :-D - - --Leslie ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Feb 2005 18:16:29 -0500 From: "Joe Palcher" Subject: I apologze for the stupid question . . . . . . but there is no such thing as stupid questions. I'm just afraid this issue has already been addressed on this mailing list. Why have they decided to release Matt's Mood ten months after the release every where else in the world? It just baffles me in general how they do not always synchronize the release of CDs in every part of the world. Usually the US (I wonder if Canada is the same?) loses out because it is often later than more other countries' releases. Just wondering. raburabu joe ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Feb 2005 15:40:20 -0800 (PST) From: "Leslie O." Subject: Re: I apologze for the stupid question . . . I've got an interview that Tomaz translated, but I just need to edit, that deals with this very question. One of them (B or D) said basically it was so they could go into the US with an already-proven track record, y'know, "See, this album did this and this over here, so it can do x,y, and z in the US, too." So yeah. And there is no such thing as a dumb question, except maybe a couple. ;-P - --LO PS-- as soon as I have a chance I'll get that interv. up on B-Web, I just have to wait for a spare moment, deadline etc you guys know the drill :D Tired of spam? RRRRRrrrrrrr, this sort nickle and dime > tour date release > is thing is odd. What gets me is that a totally unaffiliated unofficial site :-D is the only place that has a coherent tour sched. It makes no sense when they have the info and the site, right there. They made a site update yesterday and barely had anything to add. I don't get it. Maybe the business end of MB are doing a caravan across the country setting up dates as they go. heh! Also think it has to do with synchronizing the CD release with the US portion of the tour. Hey we're lucky...if they had released the CD in the states like they are announcing tour dates, it would have been in stores in NYC last week, Chicago this week, Milwaukee a week after that, maybe LA in a month or so... The only great *American* beers come from AB, and I haven't seen any of their products being attacked here. ;) Barry "Do not go where the path may lead. If we were on a beer related website, I'd relate the many crimes against humankind that AB are responsible for but as we ain't I'll just say; DRINK MICROBREWS-they have everything that megabrews don't ie. taste from top ingredients, time to mature and good guys running the company (mostly). I realise that it's my opinion etc. but I'd urge you to seek out good micros. It's well worth the effort. If you're gonna drink American cheapo beer, it's gotta be Miller high life. Aw yeah. Now in CA, there are vastly way more beers offered in bars than I can manage to remember but our resident 49ers sufferer ;-) is totally spot on when he says microbrews are the way to go. After you have enough you see the big beers as the swill they are. Although to be fair maybe Barry isn't in an area that has plentiful microbrew selection-- my brother was a bartender back in Detroit and when I named off the major beers here he was like, no, there are only three beers in Detroit. Heh. So not all burgs are created equal on this front. Why am I talking about beer at 10:00 on a Sunday night? Come to think of it, why the hell am I laying out pages now as well? I guess that answers the first q-- I could use a beer right about now. :-D Happy Birthday Phil!
