If you wish one day I may try to scan some interviews and/or photos from Polish gossip and less gossip newspapers:-) When she was on Sweetest Illusion World Tour in 1994 there were quite a lot of things about her in many magazines and I was cutting everything, as well as all members of my family knew they should keep those things for me:-) I would need to look for them in my parents' house in my hometown, so tell me if you are interested. I was also on Basia's concert in Katowice in September 1994, God - I was only 14 and I was crazy about her. I still love her but let's say now I am more aware of my music tastes and I know she does great music. Also got some photos from that concert but not very good ones:-) Does anyone of you have any idea if she willhave any concert in Paris - as that is next place where the globtrotter of the list is going. I got internship there. So Paris Paris, doesn't sound bad and would be just great if Matt Bianco was giving a concert there as well:-) Greetings to all of you, Krystyna (Krysia) >From: "Leslie O." >Reply-To: basia@smoe.org >To: matt-Bianco@yahoogroups.com, basia@smoe.org, basia2@yahoogroups.com >Subject: Announcing the new BasiaWeb >Date: Mon, 24 Jan 2005 09:23:07 -0800 (PST) > > >I'm proud to announce the revamped BasiaWeb! > >http://basia.techwood.org ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2005 18:00:59 +0000 From: "K. Subject: Matt Bianco concert on Polish TV - New Year's Eve As I am priviliged to know Polish ;-) and the Polish TV is the first programm that appears when I turn on my TV, so I knew about the concert by Matt Bianco and had a chance to watch it. Actually it was not live, I guess they have recorded it several days before the New Year's Eve. And in that show Basia and Matt Bianco appeared only with one song. Other attractions that one could see in a programm by Mr Mann and Mr Materna was presentation of some underware (look photos). The real Matt Bianco concert was shown on New Year's day in the evening. It was in a serie called Pearls of the Millenium. Not too long one, just a little bit more than half an hour. They sung few songs. And to tell uoy the truth I was quite dissapointed cause it was play back. They were not really singing. I can say they were pretending very well but I can distinguish real concert from play back. And for sure Basia sounds great live - cause I have been to her concert. But maybe the TV has decided that it will be safer and cheaper that way, with no need of so much sound technology. Anyway, it was good to se Basia. Greetings Krysia ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2005 10:15:54 -0800 (PST) From: "Leslie O." LOL I was thinking about adding a gig report section to the site too, so everyone can give their impressions of the shows coming up (and in the past too if they can remember!) People will probably post on the lists too but how cool it would be to have them collected in one place. > Does anyone of you have any idea if she willhave any > concert in Paris - as > that is next place where the globtrotter of the list > is going. That's called a turducken, and it's gaining popularity in the US. I have seen places that sell them prepared and ready to cook. They go for around $125 US dollars. I haven't had the pleasure yet, but I do intend to try one soon. Barry "Do not go where the path may lead. And I was in such a good mood too. :( I can tell you guys what went down though. It was short, Basia phoned in. She said that they were looking forward to performing together since they didn't get to before, and they had grown up a lot since the the first time they were together-- they take themselves less seriously and the music more seriously. The DJ made a crack about the bald heads in the group and Basia bantered back that it was a fashion statement and she had the excess hair for them. She said that since the US knew her solo work better, they would be performing some of that material in the US. Basia also said that management was working on additional UK dates so she couldn't say anything about other shows. She said that she was really having fun with the boys (her word) and was really glad they got her to record with them two years ago. She sounded happy. She laughed a lot and was her usual gracious charming self. I just really really hope the eMac at home did the job, because something went awry over here. God, that drives me nuts! I just had it, but stupid me decided to keep recording and.... crash.
