Subject: Announcing the new BasiaWeb I'm proud to announce the revamped BasiaWeb! http://basia.techwood.org Ben Combee put this site up waaay back in 1994, and for a lot of us out there, it was the first place we went when we wanted to know more about Basia and Danny's work. (In my case it was one of the first places I ever visited when I got online!) So good is it that even Sony threw up their hands and linked it, instead of making their own Basia site! Through the past ten years BasiaWeb has been a real beacon for the fans and when Ben wanted to pass it on I had to leap at the opportunity to carry it forward. I humbly hope I can do as well as he did! There will be stuff added often-- all the stuff I'm constantly bugging the lists with will finally have a place to go. There is an interviews/reviews/articles section, a news front page, along with the usual. And yes, there's some stuff from the old page that will be brought up too. With all the exciting news going on with touring and whatnot I didn't want to let the rest of it be held up any longer! Also the site will be evolving and improving as time goes on. This is my first ever site so I've got a lot to learn! I hope you all are pleased with it or at the very least, amused. - --Leslie Tired of spam? Yahoo! Plus it makes that little voice inside of me get louder when it says that I should take over the shirt making project for the concerts. I am willing to do it but I would want to know exactly what you guys would want. (type of shirt, color, design...) I am a great shopper and will find the embroidery place to have them done here. We did a shirt business 11 years ago but were ahead of our time when we put 3D designs on a t-shirt. Magic eye has since helped people be better at focusing on these images. We did shirts for Clemson, Carolina, Furman, College of Charleston... etc. We were not great at making money off people so know that the cost will be only be what it actually cost. We would want people to get a good deal so we would lower our original price. Just not after the mighty dollar. If anyone else has already offered to do this and I missed it that is fine but just know I am willing. We need to get moving on it soon... But Thelma - don't go to any expense - we have zero idea how many people would fork over real money for one at this point. Also - I vote for collared shirts - not t-shirts, but something with a collar - and a decent quality, not something that will twist or be so thin that it wouldn't last a few washes. Does that make sense? > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-basia@smoe.org [mailto:owner-basia@smoe.org]On Behalf Of > Lonnie or Thelma > Sent: Monday, January 24, 2005 3:35 PM > To: basia@smoe.org > Subject: Re: Announcing the new BasiaWeb > > > > Another thanks...
