But I could be mistaken. It wasn't sarcasm. I know, that is rare for me! :-D It is, indeed, flat and agricultural. Most people are quite bored by it. For me though, when you can see such wide expanses of sky and land, it's pretty calming and awe-inspiring. The horizon extends for miles and miles, and yes, quite 'clear'. ;-)---------------- Hi, I might be qualified to speak about Nebraska. My major at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln was Geography with Cartography and Remote Sensing as my true interest. Nebraska is not totally flat although we do have the Platte River (French for flat) traversing the state next to Interstate I-80. It was way easier to build a a major interstate where there is little topographical interference. If you move 25 miles north or south it turns into rolling hills. Located in the West Central part of the state "The Sandhills" a very beautiful area. Ted Turner has purchased over the past 10 years nearly 1000 square MILES of this natural aquifer. Water will become a very important commodity over next 100 years in America, in my opinion. Oh and the Sunsets in the Cornhusker State are fantastic. Now if ya' wanna' talk F-L-A-T lets talk about Kansas. But again not totally, in fact the longest running American model controlled slope race is held at Wilson Lake. How can you race slope in KS? go to "Midwest Slope Challenge" (note my yellow race plane on the cover!) nice plug. And as for Iowa (Idiots Out Wandering Around) more corn and cheese. Ha,Ha. Tom Who now uses nonrecreational drugs. Haha. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Sep 2004 16:10:19 -0500 From: Bill Roberts Subject: Re: OT: Anita It's already out. Bill R.
