But much to my surprise I found Matt's mood yesterday (media markt by the way for the dutch members of the list). At first I thought it was yet another greatest hits but the picture on the front with Basia made me curious (I think to title Matt's mood is confusing don't you think?). When I didn't recognized any of the songs I jumped through the ceiling and bought it right away. Much say I'm very impressed with the quality of the songs, very relaxed, brought back many good memories of the first Matt Bianco cd with Basia. Favourites so far: ordinary day, la luna, golden days, ronny's samba. Basia is looking good too (see the pictures on www.mattbianco.com) Is there any information on tour dates yet? The website is not very helpfull about that. I never thought I'd see the day ... or should I say "hear the day" ... it's gonna be a new day for all of us loyal Basia fans ... Hey, if there's anyone in the US that wants a copy of Matt's Mood and can't find it where you are, just for what it's worth, I had no trouble getting it at the local Tower Records this weekend for 18.99 plus 4.5 pct sales tax. And I just went to the http://www.towerrecords.com website, where I discovered it has a "list price" of $21.99, but a SALE PRICE OF $16.49! USD! You'll have to pay shipping, of course. So there you go. - - Steve - -----Original Message----- From: owner-basia@smoe.org [mailto:owner-basia@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Ernst-Jan van der Hee Sent: Sunday, June 20, 2004 5:54 AM To: basia@smoe.org Subject: Matt's Mood Hi there, I was subscribed to the list last year and since I changed emailaddress a few months ago I didn't bother to resubscribe again due to lack of news about Basia. I think many Cubans would like this, whether they have heard of her or not. Phil(2) you have been a good sport over the past few years to defer to me, whose only qualification has been to have been here back then, when it was OK to brand other Basiafinados with drug-taking and whatnot. I suggest in the future we simply identify ourselves as Phil, and let the rest of them figure out who says what. I can only benefit from my input.
