He is a missionary in Ufa near Yekaterinburg and we are only allowed to speak to him on Mother's Day and Christmas. Since Desianto rambled first I will share a cool moment when my cousin Guennadi, who we brought over from Russia 10 years ago was on the phone in our home speaking to my son in Russian. My mom who died in 1998 was full blooded Russian so this was a special moment to think about her and the connection my son will have to that side of my family. I am off to Washington DC now with my husband. There will be a new holiday called Global Family Day which will fall on Jan. 1st in the states. My husband has 10 minutes in front of delegates from all around the world on Tuesday to discuss some humanitarian efforts. It shall me memorable for us. Desianto... you are really something. Thanks for joining this list. Thelma - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Desianto F. W." In the UK, it's Mothering Day (believed to be the reason behind Mother's Day in the US) and it's celebrated on the 4th Sunday in Lent (this year March 21st). Other countries have similar celebrations on other days.
