Went looking through a second hand shop, (mainly for pants) but at the last moment, I looked through a CD rack. Having spun it to all four sides, I found myself looking at the first side again, wondering why, when I spotted (at the very bottom), "London, Warsaw, New York"! Woo hoo! I only had it in cassette form. So for $1.25, I now have it in CD! Way cool! (I am enjoying it as I type.) :) Phil(2) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2004 11:00:50 -0700 From: "JC" Subject: Re: Cool find! Cool! Incidentally, I heard "New Day For You" over Wal-Mart's sound system a couple days ago - and it wasn't Muzak or someone else's cover, it was the real thing. That can't be all bad; since Wal-Mart has gotten multiple-million$ in incentives to live and thrive in Denver (and reportedly won't be paying any city taxes until 2016) it's only fitting that they should contribute to the perpetuation of righteous music in their small way. Imagine the airplay if Wal-Mart could be induced to play Basia every other tune - LOL! /jan - ----- Original Message ----- From: PParm16424@aol.com To: basia@smoe.org Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2004 10:14 AM Subject: Cool find! I can't believe you got it so cheap! I'd probably buy it for that price even if I already had it! Wow! They had no idea what they were selling! Congrats, that's a great deal! Hi, Here in the UK, you probably know Wal-Mart aquired the ASDA stores, the second largest supermarket chain in the UK. My wife works at one ASDA/Wal-Mart in Birmingham and they do not play instore music/muzak. Maybe I could get my wife to sneak my LWNY cd in one day? Dave. Incidentally, I picked up a Promises picture cd from ebay last week for #1.50 +pp in really good condition. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "JC" To: Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2004 6:00 PM Subject: Re: Cool find! > > Cool!
