However, for me, transmission line speakers are enough for Basia's music and vocal because of their almost natural sound and no bass coloration though tuning transmission lines is a real hardwork. It doesn't mean that horn designs cannot produce natural sound but I prefer a little bit 'quieter' speakers, otherwise my neighbors would throw bricks through my room window to my head...:-) BTW, if some of you have La Scalas, why don't you try to play Basia's music on the streets with them so people would think that Basia is finally back in concert..:-) Desianto F. Believe me, it was great. I highly recommend it! Just a couple bits: Re: Steely Dan: love them. I was watching the movie Comedian over the week and they have Deacon Blues play at the absolutely perfect moment. BTW, check out the movie. It's the documentary about Jerry Seinfeld throwing out all his old material and starting from scratch. Re: Basia and an album ever in our lifetime: I hope so, but I am not holding my breath. been doing that for waaaay too long. Food for thought: this year marks the 10th anniversary of the release of The Sweetest Illusion. Steady yourselves now. Oh, and Thelma's mail cracked me up. :-) Re: VH1 Classic: rules. Love it. And like Ben said, the '80s show is great. Matt Bianco? I wouldn't be surprised, after all they played Hayzee Fantayzee. Yeah, exactly. Re: Male vocals: the credit is listed on BASH 7, Cruising for Bruising UK single. Paired with the two B side tracks. It's the gray one with no jewel case, but a self contained paper envelope of sorts. Sadly I got a glimpse of it and had to put in back into storage at my mom's, who is saintly with her tolerance of my stuff. (I'd double check with the discog site but I'm at work and don't want to sweat it) Happy New Year! - --Leslie __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Find out what made the Top Yahoo! Tower Records had it on sale for about 8 bucks a few months ago. I've got it, too - you're talking about "New Day For You", right? Includes videos of Cruisin' for Bruising, Time and Tide, and interviews - very cool. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-basia@smoe.org [mailto:owner-basia@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Bill Roberts Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 4:26 PM To: basia@smoe.org; Leslie Osborn Cc: ""@iquest.net Subject: Re: Why wait on VH1? Therefore, I ask your help, for those who understand Spanish well to translate these messages to me. I really appreciate your help. Sorry for disappointing you because I'm not Basia, not even close because I'm a man and I live in Indonesia though Indonesian flag is the opposite of the flag of Poland, the country where Basia came from. Right now, I'm a member of the Basia mail digest at basia.techwood.org I don't know if there is any Basia fan club in Mexico or not. So, if you want to make one, be my guess. Anyway, thanks for your e-mail. It shows that Basia is accepted worldwide. Sincerely, Desianto F.
