In Albuquerque, amongst the Hispanic/mix musicians I knew at the time, the word "suavecito" was used to mean one who was a smooth operator, and assumed not to be a big, brutish football-player-sized Don Juan; alternatively, it was loosely used to mean a small or petite person who was considered sophisticated and attractive. That was several years ago, tho. I don't know if that has any bearing on the rest of the world, because Albuquerque certainly has its groups, clans or clubs (whatever you want to call it) who develop their own unique brands of Spanglish (their word, not mine). /jan - ----- Original Message ----- From: Lipman_Larry To: basia@smoe.org Sent: Monday, December 15, 2003 9:39 PM Subject: Suavecito Okay troops...this is driving me crazy...
