Any ideas where I might be able to obtain a copy? So far, my internet search has turned up nothing. Recently laid > off from AT&T. > > Regards! > ==================================================== I think I have to find out about Victor Wooten and the Wootens. Maybe I can learn something from them. Talk about recent great acts, there are only a few here in Indonesia, unfortunately. The last is the concert of Air Supply in Jakarta after the Marriott bombing. Not so great, I think, though they have filled the headlines of some newspapers. But their courage to perform after the bombing showed the world that Indonesia is OK and the bombing didn't have power to change the world. Before Air Supply, Level 42 also performed in five cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Denpasar in Bali. This was their second visit to Indonesia after their first visit in 1980's. I watched their performance on TV because the ticket price was way too expensive for me. They're great, and talking about bassist, Mark King is also the great one. Unfortunately, I've never seen him play on a fretless bass. Anyway, it won't suit his percussive style. On TV, I noticed that Mark slightly overtuned the E string accidentally in "The Chinese Way", so the song was a little bit 'strange', for trained ears, of course. He tried to recover it, but he was able to do it when the song was already almost at the end. It's a rare event anyway, to see Mark King 'struggle' with the tune of his bass when he was playing. Lucky for him, he used the bass with the tuning keys at the bridge so every now and then, his right hand was busy turning the keys when he was singing and while his left hand's fingers were 'dancing' on the fretboard. Well, if Basia need a bassist, don't look at me unless if she is so desperate finding other bassists who want to work with her. Well I'm the very last man on her list... :-) Desianto F. Edyta? You mean Edyta Gorniak? Frankly, I've never listened to her songs or seen her photo but because Basia has ever said that she is great, I think she is. Basia said that she is good and has a great talent when she was asked about Polish singers who try to begin their international career, like she did,-- and she mentioned Edyta. But Basia also said that Edyta will be better if she begins to write and sing her own songs. She said that, "I think it's like listening to Mariah Carey than to Edyta"; it means that Basia wanted Edyta to develop her own character (I hope Edyta has listened to her...). Anyway, I will find any info about her, starting from the addresses you've given to me...:-) Now, about Anna Maria Jopek. If I'm not wrong, one of the members here (Krystyna?) has ever posted a mail about her. I've searched the info about her and yes, she is beautiful, with long blonde hair. And her voice is beautiful too. I played some song clips at that site (I forgot the name) and enjoy them. If I'm not wrong, she was born in December(?) but I forget the date and year (how forgetful I am...:-)). I don't have any info about what Basia said about her but if she has ever made any statement, maybe she said "Keep up your good work and sing for Poland..." From your info, I can draw a conclusion that she will be very, very succesful in the future. BTW, you were born in Poland? In what city? Desianto F.
