Starting your own label is expensive and very risky. There may be a future in it as the Internet evolves and gives artists a chance to have a career without being ripped off. My guess is Basia wants to make music, without worrying about running a record label business. It's possible, but I doubt it. Say, where has Nick Gorecki been? I haven't seen him participate lately. >Is it possible that Basia will start to make her own >recording company? Or, BTW, shall we start to make >a recording company named Basia Records?....:-) >Desianto F. She will be coming up for this in a few years, and we will be all behind her when the time comes. In the mean time, those of us who cherish melodic rock AND country will acknowledge Richie Furay and his success in blending the two forms, which was eventually adopted by groups such as the Eagles, and more recently the Thorns. All you have to do is listen, and you hear the classic sound of Poco. Poco never sold a bunch of records, but their influence certainly resulted in multi-million sellers by others. All apologies for straying from Basia, but, how else would this list survive?
