Does anybody have an mp3 version of the song? I'd love to listen to it... Another one: Is it true that Basia & Peter White played in a band called "White Lies" (around1987). Obviously there is a "White Lies" record/ 45" titled "Walk on the wild side". Any help on these issues would be highly appreciated. This parsing of her lyrics sounds like when everyone was looking for "clues" to Paul McCartney's "death" on Beatle album covers and in their songs. Bill R. Quoting "Desianto F. Good point, Bill. I remember going through that whole thing, with all the supposed proofs of Paul McCartney's death. I was certainly relieved to finally know that Paul was indeed alive and well. I was not a diehard Beatles fan, but my brother was, and I know most of the their songs by virtue of having heard them coming from his bedroom for years. I really didn't understand the lasting power of their music. Just thought they were another fad, here today, gone tomorrow. (or soon thereafter) Who knew? Well, actually, the Yearning/Goodbye thing reminds mine a little more about another Paul thing. The song Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-five, from the BAND ON THE RUN album, was believed by many to be Paul's personal message to fans that he was going retire from the music business completely in 1985. Ever hear that one? "No one ever left alive in nineteen hundred and eighty-five will ever do..."
