Since I don't think LWNY or TSI ever made it to vinyl, but her voice definitely sounds better on the vinyl. The CD has a brighter sound that doesn't sound totally natural. No question the dynamic range is better and there's less noise. The sax backups seem more transparent too. Using a 20+ year old B&O 4002 tangental arm player and a Dennon CD player and the big B&O Beovox speakers that went with the 4002. Old Yamamha 100/channel receiver from about the same timeframe. Anyone else out there have nothing better to do than than this on a Wed. afternoon? Dimwitted Moose and Flying Squirrel. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2002 14:18:07 -0700 From: stevemak Subject: Re: LP vs CD Where is Basia????? FWIW, I went to the Peter White.com site and under his FAQ(top ten) one of the questions was "What's up with Basia?" His reply was something to the effect that as of Jan, 2002, she was still working album material and that Peter W. had sat in on several of the recording sessions. This can't be anything but god news!!!
