Hmm, interesting. I've worked with a lot of photographers--and on a photography magazine--and I never heard that word used to refer to still pics. Oh well. - --Leslie Yahoo! Flick refers to the flickering of film at high speed which produces the moving picture. How a still could be called a flick is illogical is it not simply an exposure? No flickering involved. But it's hardly the most illogical term I've heard :-) Received: from smtpin-2107.public.lawson.webtv.net (209.240.213.117) by storefull-2192.public.lawson.webtv.net with WTV-SMTP; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 11:18:23 -0800 (PST) Received: by smtpin-2107.public.lawson.webtv.net (WebTV_Postfix+sws) id 911E67F52; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 11:18:22 -0800 (PST) Delivered-To: space_bandits@webtv.net Received: from smoe.org (jane.smoe.org [66.89.201.78]) by smtpin-2107.public.lawson.webtv.net (WebTV_Postfix+sws) with ESMTP id B8E597F55 for ; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 11:18:21 -0800 (PST) Received: from smoe.org (ident-user@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by smoe.org (8.12.2/8.12.2) with ESMTP id g2TJFeVU024311 for ; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 14:15:40 -0500 (EST) Received: (from majordom@localhost) by smoe.org (8.12.2/8.12.2/Submit) id g2TJFd7c024284 for basia-outgoing; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 14:15:39 -0500 (EST) Received: from web14003.mail.yahoo.com (web14003.mail.yahoo.com [216.136.175.94]) by smoe.org (8.12.2/8.12.2) with SMTP id g2TJFYVU024214 for ; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 14:15:37 -0500 (EST) Message-ID: <20020329191531.2679.qmail@web14003.mail.yahoo.com> Received: from [208.50.33.78] by web14003.mail.yahoo.com via HTTP; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 11:15:31 PST Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2002 11:15:31 -0800 (PST) From: Leslie Brown Subject: Re: Hot Basia Flick To: basia@smoe.org In-Reply-To: <16d.b2c865f.29d5ddd6@aol.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-basia@smoe.org Precedence: bulk Reply-To: basia@smoe.org X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "basia-request@smoe.org" X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. > Once upon a time, "flick" did refer to a motion > picture...in the vernacular > of today, the term can refer to any type of > photography. Just out of curiosity - what browser are you using - and PC or Mac? All of the computers I have access to (all PCs) can download the picture by Right Clicking once - then selecting save targer (in Internet Explorer - Netscape says something similar). You should be able to download it to your computer that way. j The Paxety Pages http://personal.bellsouth.net/~paxety ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2002 20:02:32 EST From: Mithors@aol.com Subject: Re: Hot Basia Flick That is a very good picture of her!!
