They told me that Basia and Kevin have attended some of their parties and even gave my friend a bottle of bubbly and a card when her son was born the other year. If they have any parties in future It looks like I will get an invite so I hope Basia will be there so I can ask about future music Andy ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Feb 2002 07:39:19 -0800 From: "ERNEST L GUNTER" Subject: Re: Contact Wow, Andy that would be wonderful. Now just come up with some sort of occasion that merits a party. (Baby turns two, says alphabet backwards, gets hair cut.... anything.) Have you ever heard the phrase "The anticipation was greater than the actual event?" It is fun to imagine hearing something from her or about her. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Fribbens" To: Sent: Friday, February 22, 2002 4:00 AM Subject: Contact > > Hi All, > > I called in on some friends of mine who live almost across the road from Basia > and Kevin. Trey Lorenz has a beautiful voice, sings wonderfully with others, but his solo project didn't show much vision. Did anyone else think Sade's last album was a complete bust? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Feb 2002 11:01:56 -0600 From: "W. D." Below is a short list of songs that might work well for her. Renaissance - Carpet of the Sun Vonda Shepard - Ask the Lonely Anita Baker - Perfect Love Affair Laura Nyro - Save the Country Of course, I'm nobody's expert, but the possibilities for "Old Standards" are almost limitless. You could tell just hearing her sing it that she didn't write it--the feel of the song was really weird. Didn't the wife of one of the producers write it, or something like that? Ugh. The sad thing was, I listened to it quite a bit when it came out just because it was something new. - --Leslie Yahoo!
