My question is this....are there any Basia "treasures" she should be looking for while there? I don't know when I will have the actual opportunity to scan for Basia UK music, etc, so I want to make sure she looks for me. Any & all suggestions would be most appreciated! Will pay up to $50 for a Basia T-shirt Men's XL(on a budget). Let us know if you find such items, and we can start our own B-bay. Always remember, her principal market was the US. She only sold a significant amount of Time and Tide, from then on it was downhill all the way. He knew more about the Basia collection than anybody at that time (this kid knew his sh*t). I spoke with him on the phone many times. He could quote release dates from memory. I bought a couple of hundred bucks worth of collectibles from him and it took a long time to get it from him, but I was very persistent with him. Thanks Roach! My collection started in 1984, even though she was the backup singer for matt Bianco I just kind of knew she was great. and very beautiful. so I have been at it for a while. I really enjoyed her contributions to that band. I would love to play Stump Tom Neill's collection. My second friend on this list is Kevin Segura who helped me transfer bootleg Basia concert tapes to CD. He and Beverly Martin put together the Basia Discography which is the ONLY one of those in the world. You are gods for doing that! Ben Combee's video compilations mirror this god like status. Dr. Pilat drinks beer with the guys in Matt Bianco... Cheers. Larry Lipman works in the music world and has talked to her manager...Jeezzz. And what about those guys who talk to Peter White, there is a gold mine of information. Nice job, Thanks. These are the kind of fans you would want as a performer. Personally I've seen her play twice, I wrote her a letter, she wrote me back, I have scads of Basia and Matt Bianco stuff. one of my goals in life is to play in her band. It has always fasinated me how bashful they are toward us. I'd bet they know this list exists, but never have stopped by to say hello. Maybe they are the ultimate lurkers! I'm going away now. Tom Ok with a collection of 300 + LP's I think the general consensus is that Stephen must be the winner Now can we turn the flaming off and return to Basia content? I am sure I'm not alone in asking for a truce here. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Sep 2001 22:56:13 -0400 (EDT) From: into_the_arena@webtv.net Subject: Re: adoration Reading through the archives I seemed to notice a few unfamiliar names. I guess a lot of people have come and gone over the years Does anyone know how many of us are on this list?
