Bonus OBI? (Nice!) How can > you pass this up!? (LOL) Mainly because in three months, I'll be leaving this fair archipelago, and after three years I already have tons of stuff to ship back as it is. As many foreigners as there are living in the major cities, you'd think it would be easy enough to get things checked. Anyway, it does make life a little more fun here for those of us whose native language is English. Like the duffel bag I bought a couple years ago: "EPA-STANDARD It's our concept and needs, because of benefit all mankind" ...Huh? > It does have the extra track, and I > kinda like hearing the album with Miles Away not being > the final cut. :-) Oh? You'd prefer to suffer through "Give Me That?" ^_~ Personally, I like "Miles Away" being the last track. A little more positive than "Forgive and Forget." > I remember when I first saw the alternate cover, in > Canada on a cassette....'bout fell over! Is this the one where she looks like a 1930s movie star, with the short hair, and she's looking off to the upper right corner? Anyway, I'll say it's a much better cover than the US release? That picture doesn't even look like her. ...Actually, it doesn't look like much of anybody! Why does American stuff always suck?! ;-) - -Brian* ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Apr 2001 11:00:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Leslie Brown Subject: RE: Fun with Time and Tide! > Can't > leave behind any of my Dreams Come True collection! ^_^ God, no. ;-) Whenever I get to go, it'll be a sight to see me shove everything into suitcases. So much I can't find even in SF! >Like > the duffel bag I bought a > couple years ago: "EPA-STANDARD It's our concept and > needs, because of > benefit all mankind" ...Huh? Or a trash can I found in Japantown with the label, "This represents our life vision. Let's Trash Can" I'll let that one stand on its own. > Oh? You'd prefer to suffer through "Give Me That?" There is no one I would rather! > ^_~ Personally, I like > "Miles Away" being the last track. A little more > positive than "Forgive and Forget." I think it just was nice to have something different go on with the same thing we've heard for *gulp* 14 years now. Sigh...new album please! > Is this the one where she looks like a 1930s > movie star, with the short > hair, and she's looking off to the upper right > corner? Yes. Oh, and I'd love to get a hold of the alternate Japanese cover. That makes, what, 4 covers? > Anyway, I'll say it's a much better cover than the > US release? That picture > doesn't even look like her. ...Actually, it doesn't > look like much of > anybody! Why does American stuff always suck?! Good question. But I've always liked it, as it goes beyond the simple solution of put-the-artists-portrait-on-the-cover while putting the artist on the cover! It's an intriguing image that doesn't exactly relate to the music but has a bit of mystery and a sophisticated European air about it, always a bonus in the US. I think that if I were given two covers, the Holland cover and the US cover (from the same shoot) I would be more interested in the US. (/design geek mode off) Incidentally, speaking of amazing pictures, there is an ad on Ebay with an amazingly different picture of Basia with what looks like either some crazy hat or her hair laquered up and tied up in a sculpture on her head! Anyway, do a search and check it out. I'd sure buy the ads if I didn't already own two in the lot. I just wanna read the article! - --Leslie Yahoo!
