THIS POST CONTAINS **NO** NEW CD INFORMATION!! PLEASE REMAIN CALM!!! I found a used copy of the Japanese release of Time and Tide the other day. It was cheap, but as I already have all of those songs at least two or three times over, so I was wondering if anyone on list who actually has (or has seen the CD) could tell me if there's any particular reason to blow $5 on the disc? Does the booklet have photos not seen anywhere else? Thanks! - -Brian* ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Apr 2001 09:15:39 -0400 From: "Paul S. The Japanese release of "Time And Tide" is worth the $5.00 just beacuse it has a much different cover than the US and european versions and includes the song "Forgive And Forget" which is also on "Brave New Hope". If you collect Basia CDs for reasons like that then I say go for it. I myself have MANY different versions of "T+T" simply because of different covers. Now if only I could find the version of "T+T" from Holland...then I could die a happy man. Paul - ---- "Well then, put on your jammies and I'll read you a story!" Come on, Bri- cool cover? Bonus OBI? (Nice!) How can you pass this up!? (LOL) Of course there are those lyrics which were a bit *different,* from what I remember (I just wish it wasn't 2000 miles away so I could look at it. Grrr...) Love that different take on English. There may be a smallish photo on the inside, I'm having trouble remembering. But for $5, I'd hate to pass it up. It does have the extra track, and I kinda like hearing the album with Miles Away not being the final cut. :-) I think I bought mine for $15 or something on Ebay. I remember when I first saw the alternate cover, in Canada on a cassette....'bout fell over! The guy I bought it from thought it was Siouxie Sioux, incidentally. Right! Guess it would've made more sense at the time, given my appearance. - --Leslie, who has the Belgian T&T with yet another bleedin' cover...sheesh! Why? Yahoo! I'm a bit in error, after checking the discography page this Belgian version has the same cover as the Holland release (on Portrait, as opposed to Epic). It has a nice sticker on the front, in French, saying that it contains "Promises et New Day for You." Even though the graphics give me a headache, the discography site is way useful at times! Incidentally, I found it in a bin for $2. It's not in stellar shape (G, maybe), but it will do. I felt compelled to rescue it, as I feel affinity towards all T&T creatures . - --Leslie Yahoo!
