Hihihi, the truth is she doesn't lip-synch. She should though - it becomes some kind of "oh my *heavy breathing* oh my *heavy breathing* howwazay *breathing* to noooo..." Just yesterday I said to a friend that I like the difference between artists and products; when product stops selling, it goes to the bin (example: East 17, Spice Girls, NKOTB, Take That etc.) When artist stops selling he/she can make more better music - and it's even more handy cos she/he doesn't have to think in terms of being commercial. Still, you have to be in a minor label to do that (example: Bjork, Saint Etienne, Bis). Nah. Her dancing sucks. And there are cuter, and better "talents", swarming at every shopping mall in America. > some kind of "oh my *heavy breathing* oh my *heavy breathing* howwazay > *breathing* to noooo..." Just yesterday I said to a friend that I like the LOL, so true... it's so damn bad... feel sorry for her ... decline of western civilization, etc. > you have to be in a minor label to do that (example: Bjork, Saint Etienne, Still think Basia and Bjork should get together with a great producer and invent some *whole new genre* for the 2000s! Go wild! And, I'd like to hear what Basia could do with some New Wave early 80s hits, eg Berlin "Masquerade" and "Metro"... If Basia wants to get back in vogue she'll have to put out some catchy, danceable stuff! Something with a beat! > Heaven forbid! No offense, but the last thing I want Basia worrying about is getting "in vogue." Just keep doing her own wonderful thing and I'll be thrilled. Don't want to see her chasing the latest trends in music - that's a losing proposition. As for "something with a beat" - except for a few ballads, everything she's ever done has had a great beat! steve ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Dec 2000 19:06:35 EST From: StefanBetteJoan@aol.com Subject: Re: basia-digest V5 #143 In a message dated 12/28/00 3:06:07 PM Eastern Standard Time, milesh1@ix.netcom.com writes: > ! > Basia need only come back to be in vogue. She need not "invent" a genre. She did it already. She need only come back home! Gudmunsdottir is a great talent in her own right. Basia does not need collaboration. Nor does Bjork.
