I think maybe too much is being read into the situation. Basia apparently has no record deal and, until she does, no new output. Plain and simple.(Hopefully with a new deal two things will occur: a label more interested in promoting her work (unlike with TSI!) and a clause that says the lady has to put out something on some schedule. I love Basia's work, I understand why she feels the way she does about the bizarre universe of pop singer life, but for God's sake, work!) Peter came along at the right time for a solo career, and he had the production - and now of course the reputation- to be a "smooth jazz" (somebody please name it something else!) star. I don't think Basia being around/not being around had anything to do with it. (I still wish he had that indescribable something his first two records had; his work since Promenade is too cliched-smooth-jazz for my taste. All due respect of course) In other developments, I found a copy of the Blue Rondo A La Turk album! (Chewing the Fat!) You could have knocked me over with a feather! They also had 2 singles, but considering the cost I opted for the LP. If only I could listen to it. No turntable. I think it is the best - particularly listen to Silent Night and The River w/Kenny Lattimore. Actually there is not a bad one on that CD - but of course we're not too partial seeing as how we belong the the PW Fan Club!! ;-) Robin JPovlock@aol.com wrote: > I know it's three years old, but does anyone have any comments on Peter > White's Christmas CD?
