This is what frustrates me so with the current, shall I say lack of, Basia stance. Where is she? What's she doing in the studio? Is she doing voice overs? What gives. I simply cannot accept the fact that such a great artist is gone. This is like death. Only Basia lives, therefore I cannot heal. Such trash in the music world today. Is there no future? I am really excited about the concept Toyota minivan. Perhaps the day I get one will be the same day we purchase a new Basia CD. If you don't have dreams... how will your dreams ever come true. I just have to make an off the wall statement...If anyone wants to buy a cat in the future... let it be an Abyssinian. Trust me, if you love Basia you will love an Abyssinian. Sorry about being off topic but there has to be some connection to enjoying "greatness" while on this earth. I am so in love with two Abys we have (especially my fawn). She is currently setting up a tour of the UK, or part of it. Check out www.bigmouth.co.uk for more details. Sorry it`s been quiet from me lately. I would like to blame it on depression due to the lack of Basia`s new album in my Xmas stocking this year, but to be truthful I have been extemely busy with work and preparing for our new arrival in February. I`m still lurking in the background. For much the same reason I have not been to too many gigs lately but I am going to see JJ Burnel tomorrow and Saint Etienne in London on the 17th. Bit of a contrast I know, but my music tastes are varied and selective !! However, last summer I drove 150 miles to see one of my favorite acts - Steely Dan. The big question at the time was, 'Why Did You Wait 17 Years to Record a New Album'? Their stock answer: "We wanted to get it right." I think their approach was the correct one. But I also know SD worked their material continuously from 'reunion' in the early '90's and onward. I suspect this is going on elsewhere. Basia and the Whites: Maybe it's no coincidence Peter's accelerated solo career and Basia's near-silence occurred simultaneously?
