I did a search for anything interesting from the Basia world, but came up lacking. One Virgin store had a solitary copy of the European release of "Time and Tide", but there were no singles to be found, and no other albums around. It looks like her star has fallen in the UK, alas. - - --Ben" Ben, My better half is in Italy for two weeks on an art tour vacation. She has specific instructions from me too find any Basia or MB Items and just like you has come up empty handed. Earlier today I was contacted by another Dutch fan, who expressed his surprise that Basia is so little known over here. No thanks to Sony's promotional efforts, which in this country do not rise above the average ground level, which is below sea level!!! :-) But, in contrast, earlier this year I was in Singapore, where I entered some backwater record shop in a backwater shopping mall and there was plenty of Basia to be found there. Even on MiniDisc! The same occurred later in the highstreet shops. I asked a friend for the reason and they said that in the Orient people really appreciate good female vocalists. So little surprise there that Basia is ahead of the game there, even though she hasn't released anything REALLY new for quite some time now... I think I speak for the entire list (and others) when I say: ARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!! So I hope the French rumours are true and we can soon expect a new album.
