Hey Leslie, Hope you're not out of touch too long. Good luck with the move. [Take encouragement, in '98 I took a 4 day road trip from Seattle to Orlando, FL in a 4-door Saturn with absolutely no problems!] Mike in Seattle Time to make the mind-shattering announcement that I will be offline indefinitely. Don't all jump up and down now... I'm moving from Detroit to take a job at a magazine in San Francisco. All I can say is, oy. I'll be really glad once we get this over and done with! You can still reach me privately, however, I'll just be checking it stealth at work. Considering the current, um, *discussion* I have a few tidbits to leave you with. Enjoy. And if anyone is looking to buy a Saturn, well, I can tell you those things hold a helluva lotta stuff. Impressive. See you in 2400 miles. - --Leslie http://mail.yahoo.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 20:47:14 +0900 From: "Brian Cundieff" Subject: Basia got back! I think we're talking about the same thing, but I never actually saw the magazine, and I can't find the original post where I read about it. It was my understanding that she was on the cover. Wait a minute. Are you saying there's a magazine called "Women in Jazz?" Or is it the "Women in Jazz" issue of "Jazziz?" Either way, I'll bet she probably wasn't wearing a thong in the picture... although she wouldn't be the first celebrity to try to get back in the spotlight by taking it off... - -Brian* ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 07:36:44 -0500 From: Larry Lipman Subject: Lipman News To My Music Colleagues & Friends: I am delighted to share this news release with you: "For Immediate Release: Effective this fall, Larry Lipman will become Executive Director of the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services, replacing Shirley Kaye, who will continue to work within the audio industry. Gee, we will have to organize a welcoming reception or something for you! Actually it would be fun for a bunch of us to get together. I met Ashoke in Cleveland a couple years ago and he told me about a lovely gathering including Meg, (Hi, Meg!), Jackie and a few other folks. Sounded like fun.
