(Please negate the fact, for now, that Basia and Danny have done a great job with intra-production.) Who would be your "dream" producer, and or collaborator with Basia and Danny? My choice would have to be Arif Mardin. I think his work with Scritti Politti, Chaka Khan, Culture Club and Bette Midler show is impressive work. Walter Afanasieff is just not my cup of tea. For I've not known him to create a "danceable" sound. I think a "good" producer should create/assist in the creation of all factions of sound. Arif Mardin does. Turned Mike Jackson's career around. Also did a good job with Donna Summer. However, he and Danny would argue a lot. Phil > > Keeping within this thought/thread of production. He produced Anggun's 1998 CD "Snow On The Sahara". Very lush and exotic sounding. I think he'd fit perfectly, and give Basia a slightly different sound. Either him, Trevor Horn (Seal) or Robert John "Mutt" Lange (Def Leppard) - but those guys take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to finish CDs. Hey! - Maybe she's working with one of them already. :-) Let me just take this opportunity to thank Ben for the fantastic CD-R! It is a real treat! Paul - --- "This is an electrified fairytale.
