The video collection that I have been offering on eBay comes from my personal collection. I did not intend to infringe on the item that Ben has been offering. With his item being a CD-ROM, I'm sure that the quality is much more superior to my collection (which is tape - to - tape). If I have upset any Basia fans by offering this tape I am truly sorry. - - Paul "This is an electrified fairytale. I will also include a link to your site. If there is anything else I can do to smooth this over please let me know. Again, I am sorry for any confussion or anguish this may have caused. The list did seem similar to what I had made available, but since they are indepenently derived, I have no problem. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Fish" To: "Ben Combee" Sent: Sunday, 19 March, 2000 12:26 AM Subject: Re: Basia video collection auction 281887085 > Ben - I know that it may seem like I am just making copies of the CD - ROM that you have been > offering from BasiaWeb, but I am not. I'm charging a little over $5, which pays for the blank CD-R, the shipping material, the postage, with a little slack on top of that for handling. $10 plus shipping for a tape is a pretty good deal. I'm actually glad for the service you were providing. Some of your material may actually be better sources that what I had to use. Paul, send me your address in personal mail and I'll trade you a CD for one of your tapes. If you have material I'm lacking, I hope you would give me permission to use it for the volume two CD I'm compiling. (Yes, more work has gone on this weekend -- the Video CD stuff looks pretty good when played back on the Apex DVD player). - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Fish" To: Sent: Sunday, 19 March, 2000 12:47 AM Subject: Re: Basia collection > > Ben - If it would make others feel better about this, I will lower my price of the collection I have > been offering to less then what you are selling yours at (I will have to check the BasiaWeb site for > the exact amount) since as a CD-ROM, yours is of a higher quality. Group, As we all know, Ben has spent months, in his spare time, employing his considerable talents to compile the video project, essentially on a non-profit basis. Ben has also been keeping us updated, via http://basia.techwood.org/ , as to the status of the project. Also let's not forget that Ben has been maintaining the web site, again in his spare time. Ben could easily have spent all this time doing contract work and making a pile of money, but he chose to work on this project instead. I say we all owe Ben Combee a HUGE round of applause!!
