Last night I ran into someone I used to work with who is also a huge Basia fan. He informed me that Basia played two months ago in Boston!! It was totally unanounced and at a very small club.He said that she looked and sounded great. Of course I asked if she dd any new material, but she did not. Maybe this meens she's getting back in shape for a bigger tour to follow sometime soon (hey - one can hope!). So it looks like we will have to keep our eyes and ears open to see if there is anymore activity in the Basia camp. This is very exciting, but it also bugs me - I live just outside of Boston! Why weren't WE - the faithful - notified? :-) Paul - --- "This is an electrified fairytale. So do I. Anyway, what I want to ask you is this: how did you transfer the MP3 files to MiniDisc? I'd like to do that myself, but didn't know it was actually possible. Could you explain the procedure to me? Thanx! Benn - ----- Oorspronkelijk bericht ----- Van: Dennis J. Majewicz Aan: Verzonden: zondag 5 maart 2000 4:19 Onderwerp: Re: Steely Dan > > Very good album. There is some inter-format conversion involved and the quality suffers a bit, but I mainly listen in a noisy environment so it's tolerable. I am thinking of getting a new sound card with optical output. It is still a conversion from mp3 to wav, but I believe it would be much cleaner than analog. Regards, Dennis PS: That's very encouraging news about Basia's concert in Boston. I hope Paul is right about it being a tune-up for a tour. This could be the biggest news we've heard in a very long time! - ----- Original Message ----- From: Ben van Maaren To: Sent: Sunday, March 05, 2000 1:09 PM Subject: Re: Steely Dan > > Dennis, > > Glad you like the new album.
