She is actually singing the line: "half a minute" in polish! it's: "pow minute, pow minute" (not spelled correctly, but just to give you the idea) My wife (who is polish) told me this, the first time we listend to that particular MB-track together, and I had, untill then, been wondering for years what Basia was singing! It seems as if whenever she sings a bit in Polish in any of her songs, it is just the title or the chorus. She did the same at the very end of "Yearning". I love to hear her sing in her native tongue. There's just something about it... Paul - --- "This is an electrified fairytale. I believe that the native Polish speaker is correct. PS-- Jeff, thanks very much for the file. - --Jim __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? You guys...this has been this way for a long time (in regards to the 550 pathetic excuse for a web site) I was trying to find the old post on Leslie's Theory of Why Sony Sucks Wind in the archives but alas... Suffice to say that I think Basia has been off Sony for a long time. As Brian said, why else are we not seeing this album she herself said a year ago was this close to being finished. I say, all the power to her if it is a decision on her part. I think Sony did a shitter job promoting TSI as well as BOB and CH (wait, there *was* no promotion for those!). The delays aside, the Sony ambivalence (nice spelling, but it's late) and the Smooth Jazz blackballing her in a sense from the format did more to kill her career than any 5 year gap in albums could. After all, Sade last recorded in 1992, and I hear her all the damn time! > Let's hope this means a fresh start with a better > (read: more > sympathetic) label!!
