Perhaps we'll hear it next year, or at least some new tracks... Happy New Year all!! - --Jim __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! He said he had no idea when ait would come out. What he told me was he did some work on it but never heard any of the vocals. What we do know is they are working on it and Peter will be helping brother Danny and Basia with it. A happy new year to everyone. That would be > SO NICE! > Summer Samba was originally recorded by Astrud Gilberto back in the 60's. In response to my queries, a ML member Emailed me a sample of the original song, in WAV format, which I converted to MP3 and kept. So now I have both the old and new versions on MP3. Occasionally I listen to them back-to-back. Both sound good, but what a difference! It's amazing that the original version is about 35 years old. Astrud has continued to record into the 1990's, and in 1992 received the Latin Jazz USA award for her contributions to Latin Jazz. There is a web site with a brief biography, discography, sound samples and photo at http://www.gregmar.com/astrud.htm ; definitely worth a look IMHO. - --Jim __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
